Song Book Lyrics

Smells Like Hooters

Abigail came growling on a cold and frosty morn

She couldn't find her feathers and her man was surfing porn

She had to keep a closer eye on plants and desert things

Before she could conform it was too late to save the rings

So she packed up her belongings and she gave a little purr

She walked away from money and she turned her back on fur

She could make it in a big wide world with its idols and its clay

And as she rode away she smiled with only this to say

It smells just like Hooters around here

I have had too much of your cigarettes and beer

I know you just don't get it so let me make it clear

It smells just like Hooters around here.

Aggravation can be brutal when it sits upon your lawn

And it belches past the daylight when the money is all gone

When the water comes in drizzle and the mud clings to the car

And the wind blows like a hurricane and you can't walk too far

Whether barking for your supper or filing in thirteen

The windows still are smudged with newspapers of unclean

Without further contemplation, dont hesitate or turn around

There's another day tomorrow with more meaning to be found

And it smells just like Hooters around here

I have had too much of your cigarettes and beer

I know you just don't get it, so let me make it clear

It smells just like Hooters around here.

Now I can take the weather and I can live through drought

But there's got to be more substance for a life to be about

Than urban money madness with it's cliche fried and dyed

And the fashion sense of morons who sell me foolish pride

It's a fast food inundation drowning me with bbq

And I don't know how much longer I can stand the likes of you

Tender loin is not so elegant while hanging on the cow

So I'm exiting the slaughterhouse and as I take a bow

It smells just like hooters around here

I have had too much of your cigarettes and beer

I know you just don't get it so let me make it clear

It smells just like Hooters around here.
