Conjecture Poems

insanity and politics

madness

in a rabid fury

distracted

fruits to nuts

in political mayhem

and barleycorn

short term gone

in rage aplenty

so speaks the honest liar

in worship of war

and car insurance

fat cat diets

of ink blot fantasy

sold in increments of reality

and bought by blood for oil

we starve for peace

they give us pieces

in shrieking sounds

that echo nothing

the polls will scold

but rarely touch a wallet

of those we pay to serve

dig deep

and deeper still

until

a shallow pocket breaks

pick your gods with voter fraud

and silence ballot gleanings.
