Poetry sweeps through daily life. It dances between pen and paper, mouth and mind, to swirl in a creative cosmos of everyday. Its music is sunrise that eagerly greets day and shrieking howls as north winds lead cold fronts into night driving us under cover to long for spring. Poetry surrounds the mundane of channel surfing cable newscasts or beats of skateboards drumming sidewalks outside windows in apartment breezeways. When heard above worldly noise that screams gray day, it touches or shocks into dreams that are reality.
I listen to the world around me with a different ear. My writing often takes on its own life as it falls from my pen. My literary tastes as are varied as the flavor of roadsides in a West Texas spring when weeds transform into wildflowers. Here you will find pieces of me, seeds thrown out in the wind to bloom where they land. I invite you to join me in my dance through life, love, and personal vision and encourage you to pick up your own pen.
